COMMODORE'S LETTER - WINTER 2012 |
|
NLYC Membership: As I reflect on 2011, and look forward to 2012, I cannot help but think of getting N-33 out for a sail. I’m sitting on my screened in porch, in the sun and out of the wind, and it is no worse than a cold weekend on Nag. Hang on a minute, the NLYC membership intro isn’t cutting it with me. I often address the Board as a Team, and can’t help but lean towards that moniker here. NLYC Team: Much better. So, here is the Commodore, the Big Cheese, the big Gambino, giving you the “what’s up” at “our” club, in addition to some editorial comment. While the Club sits idle, your appointed ones have been grinding out thoughts and ideas, ways to improve our club and what it has to offer. Ways to keep it monetarily solvent and on the upswing in a time when….., well we will just leave it at that.
