NLYC MEMBER HENRY CHAPMAN PLACES AT THE OPTI NATIONALS IN VIRGINA

Henry Chapman placed 43rd at Opti Nationals in Virginia (out of 262 boats).  He took 3rd place for the White Fleet, the first and second places going to sailors who were not Americans. Also, he qualified for the Gold Fleet the first 2 days of the regatta (the top 25% of the fleet-he was 33rd out of the top 67 finishers).  By placing in the top 50% overall, he qualified to compete in Team Trials in San Francisco in May which determines the North American, European and World Team competitors.
